IMC has employees with many years of experience in the sheet metal industry who quote projects and can also assist in fabrication/manufacturing questions to help achieve a lower cost part while still meeting the customer’s standards and part functionality. We also employ a full-time mechanical engineer that uses the latest 3D solid modeling software to design parts and assemblies from customer specs.

IMC’s designers are available to meet with customers to go over ideas and requirements, and are happy to set up facility tours. Once the design process is complete we can create prints and produce prototype parts for evaluation and approval before the production run. The designers follow the parts through each process and are constantly reviewing to make sure that everything follows customer specifications, and will contact the customer for approval before beginning production builds.

Depending on the complexity we are able to produce prototype parts for evaluation in under a week. We are also fully capable of importing customer’s files. Please click HERE for a list of file types.

IMC is committed to quality. It is our primary approach toward achieving our corporate objectives of growth, profitability, customer service and employee involvement. Our quality department continually seeks ways to improve IMC’s quality and efficiency. We have defined processes to help ensure that we get repeatable, error-free products, and we outline them clearly in our quality manual.

We do not believe that we can “inspect-in” quality. Inspections are performed to give us feedback to let us know that our processes are working correctly. We offer full written First Article Inspection Reports, material certifications, coating and plating certifications, and Certificates of Compliance. All parts are quoted using our standard shop tolerances to reduce the cost of manufacturing. However,  tighter tolerances are achievable.

We strongly encourage our customers in new product development to partner with us to achieve cost effective, functional designs. IMC does 100% QA inspection on all new and revised parts, and where needed makes a template for future reference. On repeat jobs we do an inspection on the material and all the hole sizes using the previously approved template overlay. This process is  performed by an authorized person.

It is very important to us that the product arrives to the customer in the same condition in which it left our facility. To achieve this we will go the extra mile to ensure that the packaging is more than sufficient to protect the parts. We also do final assembly work- to include specialty packaging and non-sheet metal assembly- in order to do direct shipments to end-customers.

IMC endeavors to ship parts in the most efficient manner. For our many local customers we have 3 trucks with which to do daily deliveries. For our other customers we will ship via their preferred method. The satisfaction of our customers is important to us, thus we work with various freight and shipping companies to ensure timely delivery of parts.
